The OBOR ("One Belt and One Road") initiative links the two most technologically-advanced regions of Western Europe and East Asia into a EURASIAN common market via the construction of land-based transport INFRASTRUCTURE ("One Belt and One Road") linked with sea-based transport to the rest of Asia. Even though China is leading this project which was first proposed by Xi, Russia, Central Asian and European countries have signed on-board as they stand to benefit from the faster and cheaper way of transporting goods via the OBOR infrastructure which would be financed by the AIIB created by China. Russia and Kazakhstan in particular are eager to position themselves as the transport hub for this massive EURASIAN market that will come into being once the OBOR infrastructure is built.

The trillion dollar question now is: what does the USA think of OBOR?

You think you are funny? Youfail. The joke is on you.

I went to Japan by Transsib but had to fly from Khabarovsk because the train ws late by twelve hours. It was in the month of March, deep winter in Siberia, Mrs Rumplestiltz.

I went to Canada with my French girlfriend, her daughter and another French couple. We took the train from Montreal to Vancouver and back and even went to Hudson Bay. Later we toured the eastern provinces by car and visited French friends living in Quebec province.

It is about five times as populous as small Canada. Do you still  ...

In terms of its ability to make war, Japan is hampered by lack of raw materials. In that sense it is a "small country" like Canada.
Without World Government we are DOOMED.

OK. But Japan is a BIG player in global markets, in the arts, in culture, in everything. China is a dwarf by comparison except for its elephantine role in economics.

That is why China gets so little love from the world. It gives everything and every friendship a pure Dollar value. It has no soft influence.

Japan is not the number two world power that holds the key to a peaceful future. China is the key. If it does good, humanity will do well. If it does evil humanity will suffer greatly. That's why I am so concerned about China (and the United States) but not the smaller powers.
Without World Government we are DOOMED.

Japan exercises cultural appeal to us Westerners, China does not. China is not a key; it has appropriated the key as the second biggest economy. That key can never unlock the hearts and minds of people except those of despots, dictators and the uneducated rabble in search of Manna.
