(Shanghaiist) A seven-year-old boy miraculously survived after jumping out of a 10-story window on Monday while holding an umbrella, trying to imitate a cartoon that he had been watching.
After watching a cartoon character use an umbrella as a parachute to safely jump down to the ground from a great height, the boy in Suzhou reportedly decided that he wanted to give that a try as well.

However, it was not the umbrella that ended up saving his life, but a power line which slowed his fall on the way down.
The boy sustained serious injuries from the fall, but following surgery doctors said that his life was longer in danger.

While the boy lived on the 5th floor of the apartment building, the building itself is divided up into penthouse duplexes, making his fall the equivalent of a 10-story drop.

Dont blame boy, blame the parents for their failure to properly raise their kid!  Chinese parents are very good at passing the blame to others, they would probsbly demand huge compensation from the cartoon website management!
