Still means nothing to me I see America as a war zone so nothing has changed

The difference between the poor in China and poor in the USA is this:poor Chinese have less money to buy things which they don't need to live while poor Americans have more money to buy guns and drugs which they use to kill themselves.

This is great propaganda.

The US having reserve currency status and control over credit rating agencies and forex markets allows them to rob the value of Chinese peoples money. The time has come for the global community to agree on an orderly transition away from the USD as reserve and a transition to exchange rate parity and a global currency so that the money that a Chinese or African earns is worth the same as the money that a person earns in USA. The current system that USA sits atop of is robbing all of us that are not being paid in USD.

What a grotesque distortion of facts!

CHINA DAILY trainees should be more professional than this.

How can you publish percentaes without ivingg us a context?

What do the C.P.C.. propaggandists define as "poor" in China?

When someone has an   a n n u a l   income of less than 3000 yuan.

even by this definition, China still has more poor than the U.S.A.

But is someone living on 3000 yuan a year a member of a small minority?

Not at all.

Even if you earn 10'000 a year, you are still poor in China.

How many millions of Chinese belon to this category???

And does the government or any charity take care of these poor?

Not at all.

Quite unlike the U.S.A.

Hmm, interesting

I have already pointed out in another thread that home ownership is no reliable indication of a people's wealth. in China it is pure necessity because the State does not offer housing whereas in Europe people rent apartments and sae their money. in China home ownership is pure speculation that excludes the vast majority.

China certainly has the world's highest number of indebted individuals, of people enslaved to the banks. This is a nation of mortgage slaves. Unfree people.
