The chances of the DPRK launching a strike against the USA are pretty remote - he simply hasn't got enough missiles, they aren't that reliable or that accurate.. It is, however, quite probable that if he is attacked by S.Korea or the USA that he will launch everything he has got in the direction of S.Korea in defence because he knows he can hit that and THAAD wont stop him hitting Seoul.
(mostly harmless)

The victims of the gas attack would like Bashar al-Assad to receive more. But that is good enough for now.

In the meantime, patience with North Korea is running thin. So a USN strike group is moving towards the Korean peninsula as a show of force

Why wouldnt there be civilians at a military base? Civilian contractors are often used at military bases - I used to know a guy/civilian that worked as a storeman at Kapooka. Actually, I knew another guy/civilian that worked as a life guard at Kapooka. Which seems weird but he did. And military families are often at military bases. There are all kinds of reasons that civilians could be at a military base - plus you may not have heard more about it but RT is still saying that civilians including women and children were killed and they are also saying that Assad denies using chemical weapons.

Plus they are saying that the civilians were not even on the military base -

“Undoubtedly, the American attack on the Shayrat air force base was aimed at supporting terrorist groups and weakening the fighting capacity of the army of the Syrian Army, which is fighting the terrorists,” Barazi told RT. “According to recent reports, the attack resulted in the deaths of five soldiers and nine civilians and the wounding of thirteen women and children who were in the nearby Shayrat village.”

“This aggression towards Syria is not the first and is unlikely to be the last.”

Syria’s official SANA news agency earlier on Friday reported that "an American missile also hit the village of Al-Hamrat, which killed four civilians including a child."

"Another seven civilians were wounded when a missile hit homes in Al-Manzul, 4 kilometres (two and a half miles) away from the Shayrat air base," it added, citing sources.

This is from Australian media yesterday -

At least 15 civilians have been killed in strikes by suspected US-led coalition warplanes on a key stronghold of the Islamic State (ISIS) extremist militia in Syria, a monitoring group says.

The planes targeted the village of Hneida on the outskirts of al-Raqqa on Saturday, the de facto capital of Islamic State in the war-torn country, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

The dead included four children, according to the watchdog, which relies on a network of activists in Syria.

A witness said the bombardment had struck an internet cafe in Hnedia.

What I keep wondering is - is that it? The Republicans made fun of Obama for his gay and weak 'pin prick' strike plans. If the Trump strike isnt a pin prick attack then I dont know what is. Trump is the Pin Prick President.
