One of NPC members, Li Guangyu from two sessions suggested that English should be cancelled at the college entrance examination, because too much time ia spent on learning English for middle school students. Agree or disagree?

A basic skill in understanding and speaking a foreign language is important. As English seems to be an accepted global language, used in business and social situations... it follows that many students would opt for this language.... but the outdated Gaokao does not make provision for any other language than English at this time.   Furthermore Middle school students already spend too many hours on subjects across their curriculum. getting rid of English would not resolve the issue of over-study hours.

Agree. Students have spent too much time learning and it should be in the gaokao.

In fact, too much time was spent on math, and almost every school doesn't attach importance to Chinese.
