Clearly, America is in the cycle of decline. One can compare it to the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. Most of the indicators are the same.

It is becoming increasingly-evident that there will no longer be an "East" or a "West". Modern science demonstrates what efficiency is. The bases for human welfare are quite universal. Following arbitrary authourity is being replaced by the rational analysis of evidence. The "West" is currently undergoing a transitional crisis (Trump, Brexit, etc) because the liberal politicians neglected the needs of working-class people in favour of the rich. They are being taught a good lesson right now. The appropriate changes will occur.
My problem is simple: I just know better than everyone-else!

You are right. And like the Romans who went but left us with Roman architecture, Roman laws, Rolman inventions, the alphabet, Vergil's thoughts and thousands of loanwords, the U.S. Americans will forever be remembered thanbks to what they will leave the world: Burgers, chewing gum, T-shirts, jeans, Coca Cola, the Simpsons, Calvin & Hobbes and many fond memories.

Yet Trump's white house team has already started down their road of infamy, recalling that of Bush's hawks not too long ago.

Candidate for secstate Jon Huntsman has said Taiwan may be leveraged when dealing with China while advisor Peter Navarro and UN ambassador John Bolton have proposed degrees of escalation on Taiwan to pressure China in Asia, for instance Navarro has proposed to arm Taiwan with a submarine program. Although some of their NSC guys have tried to allay the mischief, Trump's advisor has argued to drop the One-China policy constructed over decades since Kissinger. Meanwhile Bolton is toying with full diplomatic recognition of Taiwan separate from China, reviving the US roughneck tactic of the 90s.

And Stephen Moore, one of Trump's economic advisors, has dog-licked his boss' twitter tirade on China's economic and military policy by saying if Beijing doesn't like it, "screw 'em".

Maybe a red banner should be erected for Trump's hardliner new team before its members get short shrift by their own state officials who know better about Asia in the 21st century diplomacy. Only one word on it suffices... "NUTS".
