Give unto China the islands and seas that are China's, and the rest to Australia.

Where is the hypocrisy?

It's been China that's been raising the ratchet, interrupting other nat ...

Freedom of navigation is not an issue but provocative challenges to sovereignty are. Confrontation did not become a significant issue until the Americans adopted their pivot to Asia policy and started moving proxies on the playing field. Now THAT is provocation.

And perhaps the U.S.A. and Australia should be grateful to China for tying up thousands of Japanese troops who would otherwise have been free to roll over Australia.

There are always two sides to every story.

We;;. Fatdragpm. upi are re;atove;u mew tp Cjoma. cprrect? Did you read the China Daily in the early 2000s?

The CHinese have been making noises about reclaiming these islands and other territories for decades. It started much sooner than you imagine and it certainly was NOT provoked by the U.S.A.'s pivot to Asia. That was perhaps meant to be the U.S.A.'s response to China's expansionist intentions.

If you don't believe what I wrote, try to find Chairman's posts. He famously wrote a thread about China's ambition of claiming 90% of the so-called "South China Sea" maybe ten years ago.

Fatdragon: I think you are not aware of how long the C.P.C> has been forging and forming its iron in the fire to make the public know that it wants to steal these islands. .

The Chinese have shown no respect for the concept of intellectual property rights. Cheap knock-offs of everything from designer fashion brands to ambulance stretchers continue to flood the West, with no sign of slowing down. Then there is the cyber army that is paid to steal from Western business, government, military contractors and anyone deemed to have even the most slightly useful information. Other bad behaviors include the fact that China continues to undervalue its currency; that it protects its own companies while putting foreign firms at a competitive disadvantage, and that they are slow to implement WTO rules, while suddenly imposing unwritten laws that are unfavorable to foreigners.

The world is not going to take it. Without trade, China will end up like Argentina did from pre to post WWII.
