China has stated very often that commercial ships can travel freely without a problem. The US tests the patience of China by using warships to claim "freedom of navigation" which is contradicting the spirit of "freedom of navigation". If someone comes to a neighbourhood with a gun and says he comes in peace, would anyone believe him?

China reveals plans to ship cargo across Canada’s Northwest Passage

The Chinese government has published a lengthy Northwest Passage shipping guidebook that lays the foundation for cargo vessels to sail across the top of Canada.

Spanning 365 pages of charts and detailed information on sea ice and weather, the Chinese-language Arctic Navigation Guide (Northwest Passage) was compiled by ocean and shipping experts as a way to help the country’s mariners plan voyages through a waterway seen as a valuable shortcut between China and North America.

“There will be ships with Chinese flags sailing through this route in the future,” Liu Pengfei, a spokesman for China’s Maritime Safety Administration, which published the book, told reporters Tuesday. “Once this route is commonly used, it will directly change global maritime transportation and have a profound influence on international trade, the world economy, capital flow and resource exploitation.”

The publication of the book makes tangible China’s ambitions in the Arctic, where warming temperatures are melting new openings for the movement of goods through waters where Canada has few resources to respond to potential disasters.

Looks like China is an aggressor.

This is the truth:

China has never prevented any ship from using any sea lane.
China has no reason to change this long-standing policy.

Any other version you have heard, is anti-China propaganda.

This is a US trap.

The US wants China to prevent a ship from using a sea lane.

The US will then tell the world that there is no freedom of navigation in the South China Sea.

Maybe, China has. But who trusts China? Not even the Chinese people do.

What would YOU know about China preventing ships owned by other nations from transiting the so-called "South China" Sea?

Where are such records kept?

Where are disputes over the claim made by China and counterclaims made by plaintiffs heard???

China has taken brutal action against other countries' fishing boats many times. Not always within Chinese maritime areas.

Some of the most egregious confrontations reguarly occur within Korean waters.
