I observed that there are many "China-lovers" on this forum.  Robert237, longzhou, Satsu_jin, to list just a few. As a Chinese, I don't know why so many foreigners are interested in China.  Is it because of China's fast-growing economy? Or its culture? Or the Chinese people? Personally, I am proud of China, because it is my motherland and my affection for China is kind of national pride. It is quite natural. Well, what about you guys? What do you like most about China?

Everyone knows the 21st century is the Chinese century. Please prove me right that Chinese people aren't interested in war or hatred. Please prove me right that the Chinese great and glorious past is indeed well-deserved.

I suppose some foreigners' love for China is much like Chinese elites' ethusiasm for USA back in the 80s....

I love China because it is the nation that is leading the world out of the past and into the future.
Communism is the future. China has made quick work of the capitalist phase of communism and
has risen from a war torn backwater to the #2 economy in the world in just 60 years.
It feels no need to follow any prescribed social science or theory made popular in western books.
Communism with Chinese characteristics.. nothing drives the western imperialists crazy like this one.
What has China done since Mr. Mao laid the groundwork for such a meteoric rise?
They've beat the western imperialists at their own game and then declared that they are the masters
of their own fate. Nothing in the western text books needs to be observed or obeyed.
The second thing that drives the western imperialists nuts is China's total indifference to the any
requests to explain themselves or their policies. Like it or lump it. It's out there to see. If you don't
understand that's not our problem.

The U.S. and their allies are bullies and nothing more. They celebrate bullies in movies and literature.
Capitalism is based on greed and aggressiveness without any regard to humanity.
It is a step between human ownership (slavery) and socialism.
From human ownership to human subjugation to human cooperation.
The step from human ownership to human subjugation is something even the west can master.
But China is advanced enough to take the much harder step from human subjugation to human cooperation
and human dignity. It doesn't happen overnight but China is progressing, the west is mired in capitalism and
the owners of the west have no desire to ever leave this old master/slave paradigm.

I also admire North Korea, openly giving the west the finger on a daily basis.
There are other nations that are working to advance humanity but none have the resourses to protect
their endeavors like China.
China is making the world safe for socialism and communism.
