Work lunch - Most companies do not offer their employees lunch. One would either bring one's own lunch or eat in a restaurant or fast food place. The most common lunch is a sandwich and a drink such as coffee, tea or soda. Some high tech firms, notably Google, offers their employees free meals, and pretty good ones, too. The company touts it as employee benefit and rightly so, but overworked employees sometimes complain that this is to keep the employees working all the time.

Bringing up kids is strictly the job of the parents, never the grand parents. Grand parents sometimes do help out but only in emergencies.

Use by, best before and display until are very similar ways of protecting consumers from out of date consumables (assuming the dates have not been falsified!) . Use by is the date by which a person should consume something and is often used with short life products like a sandwich. The product may only be fresh for a few days. Best before is similar, but implies that it is still consumable a short period after the sell by date. Display until is the date by which shops should remove the item from sale if it has not been sold. In practice some supermarkets highlight consumables that are on the last display date in a special area with a price reduction. The display until date does not necessary mean that the item must be consumed that day.

Chengguan - In the U.S. beat cops, police who patrol a fixed area, sometimes double as Chengguan. They make sure that the street vendors have the proper license to operate and operate in such a manner as not to impede the flow of traffic. They are generally held in good regard by the people of the community.
