Street Foods are not subjected to proper health inspection, not safe to eat! Health inspectors visit proper food outlets like restaurants,  and they lose their licence if they break health laws.

Street foods are almost invariably prepared in filthy backyard or home envornment with flies dropping in your a meal!

Hawkers, carts and exotic foods are nice to look at, good tourist attractions, that's all!

Beware the risk of eating Street Food!! No street food vendor would do the right thing by way of hygiene and sanitation, all will cut corners to get out cheap, delicious,  but dirty food.  They push around carts without proper sanitation like tap water to wash plates and their grubby hands which they use to collect filthy cash and handle food at the same time, a perfect recipe for severe food poisoning!

Singapore had housed them in proper hawker centers, complete with sanitation, water taps, public toilets etc.  That should be the way to go for hawkers the world over!!

Vietnam is not a country like its host France, where street bars are a good place to enjoy your life. In that developing country, the hygiene condition is not good enough and the food displayed is often covered with dust mist.

Nice photo.

Fred9

very famous in countries like Vietnam. Singapore have already moved them to hawker centers for reasons of food hygiene and comfort for eaters.
