President Xi Jinping has stressed the importance of bolstering top-level design and pooling wisdom from the public in devising China's blueprint for development between 2021 and 2025.
In an instruction published on Thursday, Xi said the country must encourage the general public and all sectors of society to offer advice on the country's 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25).
The drawing up of the blueprint is an important method of governance for the Communist Party of China, said Xi, who is also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission.
He called for relevant departments to open their doors and draw on all useful opinions in devising the plan, which covers various aspects of social and economic development and is inextricably linked with the daily life and work of the people.
It is important to fully absorb the expectations of society, the people's wisdom, experts' opinions and experience at the grassroots levels into the blueprint while making concerted efforts during its compilation, he said.
China President Xi Jinping has done his work well by performing over and above call of duty without demand and works to take care of all Chinese to ensure that they benefit in all aspects possible so that China will grow robust in strength and greatness!

Such a call is good as tt is really good to get the nation interested as well as getting the administration and the people to mingle together. When an administration is detached from its people, the rot will start. Seeking ideas from such a vast pool of resources is something very precious that not many has hence this culture and mechanism should be developed and deeply entrenched. However it is also very important to inform everyone to understand that not every piece of opinion, no matter how good, can be accepted. Even in countries with just 30 million people not all excellent opinion can be accomodated what more a 1.4 billion population one. What is important is how the administration gathers the contributions, makes a decision, communicates it back to the people and help the people to understand why and how to move ahead. Its also helpful to assuage the people's feelings by assuring them that where their ideas are not included it doesn't mean they are not valued. The fact that they contributed is itself an act of helping already hence they should know they have dutifully and meaningfully contributed to the society.
