Malaysian food Rojak.jpg

A Chinese innovation of the Malay Peninsular salad.
Adding Malaysian fruits, adding Fujien coast SWEETENED FISH SAUCE, and peanut bits (plus a piece of prawn cracker), we get a popular SALAD DISH, called ROJAK.

Try it when you are in Malaysia or Singapore.

Don't be misled by changing taste of the Malay people. Many Malay people are actually HYBRIDS, mostly of Indian moslem origin and very keen on Indian food - basically spice laden sauces.

Original Malay food is still eaten by CHINESE of assimilliated origins (the Nyonya) and the PURE MALAYS of the East Coast of Kelantan, Terengganu and perhaps Pahang. Malacca, parts of Kedah, and now Johor are becoming HYBRIDS (mostly of Indian origin) states!

The food they eat shows the changes!
