{:soso_e131:}BRUSSELS, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- A senior Chinese diplomat onTuesday called for early resolution of the issues concerning the arms embargoof the European Union (EU) against China and China's market economy status.

China should know well that this snobby attitude of Europeans can't be changed for the better even if they pretend to be hungry and begging for financial rescues. Both entitles can only live on a day by day scenario; and depending which is stronger in the end, the weak one will evolve or revolt or be invaded similar to the historical disastrous cases of Old_China! If EUcan be a true friend and/or trusted partner in this world, then the bans and embargoes should not have lived that long since the end of WW2 or cold war attitudes.

China, just be as strongly built up, steadily, as ever in all forms and keep below the 10% GDP level is a long term stable strategy! Invest moderately in EU just to be seen that China is fair and well as a trading partner. Then, let the prejudicing Europeans decide what they wish to do, but don't beg them ever though YOU should make plenty of waves in the world about it like the American and European politicians and media networks are rubbing against China. This world was born fair but unequal in length and width; so just equip to the best in defences for longevity safeguard.

So @seneca is saying a militarily weak China could be killed, robbed and raped by Europeans again?  Histories cannot tell a lie!! @seneca, please wake up those Europeans to destroy all their nuke programs and fighters_bombers_subs that had been raining down high tech explosives upon weaker nations like Iraq and Libya just recently, too !!!

Let's see how you can champion your rubbish.

"""And lastly, if you are so rude as to insinuate the E.U. is in attack mode against China, then have the decency not to ask the E.U. to arm you to your teeth to invade the Philippines! ""”

DON'T understand your comments above here else we get raged by you again! Who had attacked, invaded and occupied The Philippines so far?

China must always stay stronger, if possible, than its perceived enemies of the world so that none of those bloody sons of the guns can neither ever come closer to distort nor disrupt the region of peace and prosperities.  To shutdown all arms factories, @seneca, please try to ask the NATO gangsters to kick off the process first of all; else just do NOT get agitated for nothingness can help to heal your frustration since China will NOT slow down, militarily, while a quota_threshold has been turned on for a balancing act in the seas and oceans.  Arm it to the teeth is a MUST_DO or MUST_DIE precondition to stay healthy and well, China, else the clock can move backward! Don't be afraid to get messy but be prepared for them all is the key expression!!

It is a real frustration to all those who wish China would slow down and disarm so that they may formulate another kind of war games; but alas it is just too bad that in this era, China must keep rolling strongly and bravely forward to maintain Peace and Prosperities at home with its neighbours first & foremost; then with the world at large.  Leave a huge gap for other majors to participate to maintain their own peace & prosperity agendas in their regional dominance.

@seneca, not sure where your reside but you must be awfully blinded not to know where commercial and civilian projects have vastly expanded and manifested so well inside China and abroad. The restrictions applied against China have NOT even dented its civilian investments wherever possible.

Did you read about how 13 innocent Chinese boatmen were brutally raided and murdered along the Mekong, crying baby ?

China has never occupied a foreign land and water; and you better ask those sons of the guns to behave the same way! Get back to schools for refreshments, asap!

I believe the reason for the embargo is not that Europe fears China could use those European weapons to attack Europe. Perhaps we should dig deeper into the history of the embargo to understand its background.

The European Parliament imposed the embargo on China in 1989 (after a certain incident) due to the poor protection of human rights, stating that European weapons shall not be used by a government to shoot its own people. Since then, the embargo had not been lifted for the same argument.

So one ends up questioning whether or not China's improvements when it comes to human rights suffice to gurantee that such incidents wont happen again. And if so, why do the EU politicians still hold onto such an agreement?

I personally believe that the reason for this is China's perception in the world. People (who elect the EU officials) still see China as a country where ordinary people are poor, have to work hard and can't speek freely. And as China is quit big a nation, people look at what EU politicians do at the relations to China. So any official who suggests lifting the embargo might find himself struggling to be reelected.

For solving this problem, I believe that the EU should develop a legal framework of rules that have to be met by countries that want to buy European weapons. Then, there would be legal clarity and politicians wouldn't be forced to simply consider public feelings when discussing this issue.
