Here, you’ll find locally published foreign language books on the first floor, sheet music books on the fifth floor, and on the recently-opened sixth floor, a tea shop and sale books.

Absolutely The Beijing Foreign Languages Bookstore is the best, see photo and reference in this blog if you like to use it a lot, as I do, you can become a member there.

However, note that the majority of  books in English about Chinese Economy, History, Politics, Culture etc are published by the Beijing Foreign Languages Press, the China International Press etc. They are useful books that I include in my reading lists, but this store carries limited leading and cutting edge, Western published books on these topics.

If you want those, consider The Bookworm and Page One books, both with stores in Sanlitun.
