This is something that China can "undertake" if it decides to solve the long running feud between "CCP and KMT", and experiment with a "simpler vote system" before finally create a TWO PARTY system in China when "civil society" develops. (Under the watchful, stable watch of our STATE INSTITUTIONS, the Bureaucracy, CCP party's Army (suggest, CCP transfer the Army powers to the Central Government at an appropriate time) and Police, Courts, Universities)

GRC -"Group Representation System" is a system whereas, voters can decide between "faceless" parties based on "ideology". With the GRC system, we cannot create "STARS" - this is especially "USEFUL" in China, especially in provinces which are poor - which would benefit from FACELESS Group campaigning.

In Singapore, due to "Zen" ideology
It's hard to create "Stars" out of citizen.
This is particularly hard especially for "Malay" and "Indian" candidates, in the predominantly "Chinese" electorates..
Singapore's strict "selection" criteria for only "Technocrats" means creating "popular", "star-like" candidates is a "practical difficult" proposal.

Let's watch the preceedings of the General Elections in Singapore, Year 2011.

cheerios!

Media of mainland China in Chinese language  dare not to discuss such sensitive issue.

Some Chinese in Chinese forums said CPC don't want to unit Taiwan right now.
If Taiwan and Mainland China unit together now, would KMT and other party in Taiwan could develop party members in mainland?
If so, how to share the government power or go on a different political system?

I am sorry, i didn't know that's still sensitive now!

I guess, I am too "loose mouth" in an English language Bulletin Board.
But it's something which we must "eventually" have to solve.

AFTERALL, it's stupid! Both KMT, and CCP came from the SAME PARTY.
Just a split in 1927 with the CCP rebel group.
And it was because of CLASS considerations - Inland Provinces "weakness" compared to the "coastal" Province "advantage". It's scary to see BROTHER Vs. BROTHER battles are more BLOODY than against foreign aggressors!

YES, I agree it's still too early to discuss such matters.
ESPECIALLY now China mainland is faced with probably RIVALRY with global powers much more advanced than ourselves in technology and guild development!

I AGREE!
(that Bloody Mr. Fan always says nonsense!)

Remember CIVIL MATTER, RATIONAL DISCOURSE, protect ourselves for the benefit of our children!

One party system wouldn't be changed for ever.
It's in official statements.

a leading statement in Mainland China
**** won't be changed at least 100 years.
*****won't be changed at least 100 years.

Chinese would definitely suffer political persecution, if he is "loose mouth" in Mao's era, even he has the right politicial views. Almost every Chinese had to learn politics before anything else.

The environment was improved a lot after Deng's reform.
