This could mean BONANZA of new business!

This year AUTOMOBILE sales probably 13 to 15 million units!
Automotive Batteries sales could hit 100 million units!
Automotive Tyres sales could hit 220 million units!
Lubricant sales could be 400 million litres!
Automobile Belting, Bearing sets could reach 30 million sets!

Car Washes could see 1,200 million visits! (worth probably Rmb12 billion)

Will growth momentum be slowed down?

Not Likely!!!!

Alamak GD ur number is inaccurate. China's 2009 vehicle sales was 13.6m (of which 13m were passenger cars) an increase of 45% over 2008 figures. US vehicles sales was 10.4m a decrease of 21.2%. Forecast of 2010 US sales is 11.2m. Forecast for China sales range from 15.5m to 17m. This must have made most western economists/analysts green with envy. They are 99% of the time wrong. Don't be surprised that these same "economists (clowns?)" will reinstate back the 40% cut they did to China's PPP GDP in 2007 when World's Bank's ICP carry another round of statistics gathering in 2011.  If not for the 40% cut; China would be the largest economy on earth this year end (ppp gdp).

My dear friend!

That would probably means THE GREAT BLOOMING of small private enterprises!
Imagine the number of Family owned Car Service WORKSHOPs, car washes with such figures!
(At Rmb1 million revenue per workshop, and maybe Rmb300,000 per car wash - we could have at the moment the creation of 100,000 small businesses in China. Yes, the middle class)

Hey, Mr. Greatwall.sg., I only guestimate all my data, i am facing DATA OVERLOAD now.....so i pop in the data that my brain generates, without really checking!

ha ha ha

NEW CHINA, NEW MIDDLE KINGDOM has arrived!

Hi my friend I understand 20,000 posts requires a lot of guestimates. BTW I don't think China has 100m vehicles yet; unless you also includes motor-cycles. If purely passenger cars, China will have 100 m in 2012/3, but it will accelerate to 300m purely passenger cars (sedan, etc) by 2023; but then oil, steel, aluminium prices will rise even further, hopefully more people will embrace electric cars by then. Hopefully world's governments will give more incentives for people to buy electric cars and build the neccessary infrastructure.

well, if there is 300 million cars, there would be almost 300,000 workshops, maybe 100,000 car washes!

now only 2.0 million small and medium enterprises!
CHINA only a WORKER's PARADISE!
but in 2010, it could be 10 million small and medium enterprises with 200 or more million employees!
BIG BIG Middle Class possible!

Amazing!
