Though it faces the headwinds of protectionism and unilateralism, China remains a staunch supporter of globalization, multilateralism and the free trade system under UN charter and international law, Wang said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend this year's BRF. Chinese President Xi Jinping will also pay a state visit to Russia.
Both China and Russia plan to expand cooperation in science, agriculture, e-commerce and financial services, Wang said.
Competition between China and the U.S. is normal; however, the key is to put things into a larger perspective, Wang said.
China and the U.S. should not, and will not, go into confrontation since the interests of the two countries are already inseparable, Wang added.
Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Europe later in March which will also be his first diplomatic tour in 2019, Wang said.
