ZTE shares plunged 39 percent in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange today (June 13).  US trade hawks must be laughing as they watched the dismal performance of ZTE in the stock market, considering America as having won the first round of its undeclared trade war against China.

It looks like ZTE is a spent force after paying heavy fines to the US, and suffering heavy financial losses since the US ban.  It won't be surprising that ZTE financial losses will go unabated like the oozing of blood from the wound of a hunted animal.

Instead of yielding to US pressure, ZTE could have found salvation through a takeover by other Chinese companies.  It is doubtful that the so-called US compliant team (even though their "services" are not free) has any interest in reviving the business of the company.  You can imagine the disastrous consequences of employing enemy troops to guard your city gates.

Deuteronomy 7:26
Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction. Regard it as vile and utterly detest it, for it is set apart for destruction.

P.S.  Beware Huawei.  Besides the constant allegation that Huawei poses a national security to the US, Uncle Sam is actively discouraging other countries from doing business with the company.  It is obvious that America is constantly targeting Huawei in its undeclared, discreet trade war.

It seems that Chinese businessmen, particularly those at Dandong and other Chinese regions near the Sino-North Korean border, are in a state of euphoria after hearing the outcome of the Trump-Kim summit on June 12.

Due to poor information about the outside world, many Chinese may think that all sanctions on North Korea have been lifted in the wake of the summit.  According to Trump in his lengthy post-summit press conference:  "Sanctions will remain until the North Korean nukes are gone."  Hence if Chinese companies restart their business with North Korea, they will be rushing headlong into danger.  The US may not be able to take action against small family businesses that operate solely within China.  However, for those Chinese giant companies that trade internationally, especially if they have business dealings with the US, they will become easy targets of US sanctions and will quite likely end up like ZTE.

Hence all Chinese companies have to beware.   It is too early for celebration.

P.S.  By the way, today (June 13) the trading boards of all Chinese stock markets (including the Hong Kong Exchange) were splashed with the "blood" of ZTE.  That is enough to wake up those who still think the US has not yet launched its trade war against China.

I don't agree with Trump's protectionist policies - especially when applied to allies in Europe and North America but the reality of the situation is that China is not getting any worse treatment than the US closest allies.

The ZTE and Huawei situations are unrelated to free trade as these companies are owned and run by the Chinese government and hence they present a great security risk to the US from China's well documented spying.

In addition, ZTE violated an agreement with the US government not to illegally export U.S. technology to Iran and North Korea in violation of trade sanctions.

Arrogance

What bloody right do the Yanks have to dictate who trades what with who ?
What about your closest ally Israel that has a nuclear arsenal, killed your president JFK and killed sailors on the USS Liberty ?
9/11 was an inside job.
No second plane. It was a bomb.Bomb in the other building.
You KNOW without a doubt the videos are fake, right ?!
Planes don't meld into steel and concrete buildings. They crash into them !!!!!!!
It's amazing how the building ate the plane !!!
Imagine those fragile wings cutting slots in massive steel columns !!!!!
How STUPID can they think the people are to believe that crap ??!!

Do you have evidence of "China's well documented spying"?. I don't mean just accusations or speculation. I mean real hard evidence of spying. Meanwhile, remember what US is doing to other countries as well regarding spying.
