its not their job, but its their job to act if their citizens are bringing shame to the country

...

You must understand seneca, he is here to oppose for opposition sake; I have ignored him, he does not derserve even a reply. All he does is launch personal attacks instead of addressing the topic!  No time for him!  If he said something sensible, even if not in agreement wth me, I would reply.

Another of Mr Pee's cutting-edge anti-China rants...

Does he really believe the people he wants to ...

When I said Chinese socialism with Chinese characteristics works for its people, you condemned me; now when I complain about Chinese uncivilized behavior, you condemn me too!  So, where do you stand?  It's obvious you like to oppose for opposition sake.  You are Mr Opposition. You have yet to make a sensible comment on the topic, still mounting personal attacks, shame on youfor turning Forum into a boxing ring!

OK, that I agree. But the government could do a better job instilling in their citizens a respect for others and for rules and laws before it comes down on them for having offended the sensitivities of people abroad. These yokels behave the same way towards fellow Chinese and never get berated for that. They should behave back home too. It's not the rich only that misbehave; it is a common feature of the Chinese in general. Some Chinese are so inured to rudeness they don't even think it is wrong any more even when they are the "victims" of Chinese rudeness. It's a kind of "tolerance"; the question is: is it necessary to be tolerant of rude behaviour just because the rudeness comes from your compatriots?

Go read your first post and comb it through carefully! You will find many offensive generalisations  I certainly did!

The Babylonians used to say, "C'est le ton qui fait la musique". It roughly translates as "if you shout at a wall of snow, it will tumble down on you as an avalanche and carry you away with it!"
