The Puzzled Fox by US printmakers Currier and Ives came out in 1872 to test contemporary children. In the woodland scene a fox and three birds are plainly visible, but the faces of 12 more animals and women are hidden amid the knotted trees and foliage.

When the image is flipped it becomes clear that there are animals and faces dotted all over the image.
A sheep lies at the base of a tree on the left of the image, while the outline of a pig can be seen in the undergrowth.
