Beijing has always had plenty of bad sides: nearly unbreathable air, skyrocketing housing prices, traffic congestion – but there is one advantage that no other metropolises have: cheap public transportation. A ticket priced at just 2 RMB ($0.3) can get you anywhere via subway, and bus fares can be as cheap as 0.4 RMB (6.5 cents). But the good days of riding the subway all you want for a flat fare are almost over, and the subway fare system will become more expensive starting from December 28th.
How much does your subway ride cost in your city?

the traffic fare is less than foshan so much, the change about subway fare is reasonable. I support the policy improvement.

I think it is also can be accepted, but housing price in Beijing is not affordable for many people. As far as I know, subway fare system has a discount if you have a monthly ticket.

Why is it bad that my Beijing apartment is skyrocketing in price?

Is it because I only have a mainly north-facing apartment? Bad feng shui?

Color me confused.

Subway fares in Boston, Massachusetts are fairly priced. The train fairs for commuters to Boston, added with their parking fees can make you wish to drive your car. The parking fees for cars in Boston are out of line for all. A simple fix to the price of parking and commuting would be to increase the supply of parking in the outskirts of the city, while adding to the subway line from the parking facilities. I don't believe we will ever see that because of the, "You pat my back and I'll pat yours politics that prevent reasonable ideas without a good enough bribe to encourage it".
